Unten mittig in der Darstellung signiert und datiert "Domenicus Capagnola 1557".

  • Description: Domenico Campagnola was an Italian painter, draughtsman and engraver. He rivalled Titian in Padua in the frescoes of the Scuola del Santo, where both painted incidents from the life of St. Anthony. Signed and dated "Domenicus Capagnola 1557" in the lower centre of the image.
