A Super Looking early Victorian Kitchen Table

A good sized table in solid pine

It’s a very rustic one as you will see

So I’ve actually owned this table for over 25 years

It’s been my kitchen table in a few houses but I moved a couple of years ago and it didn’t fit into my new house so it was stored in the barn , I just couldn’t sell it !

But I’m just moving premises and unfortunately don’t have the room I had previously so the time has come to sell it ( that I will definitely regret!)

So please have a good look at all the photos

It’s very rustic and has had a tough life at points but it is one of the best looking tables you’ll come across

In solid Pine with a thick planked top

Sat on an oblong frame with squared legs to each corner

It has cross stretchers to each end and and a middle stretcher ( replaced 25 years ago )

It’s very rustic with lots of historical woodworm tracing throughout the top and legs ( please look at the photos ) non of this is live and hasn’t been for all the time I’ve owned it

I think it’s from around 1840

It came to me from a farm in Cheshire and it had been there a long time

It has a drawer to one end ( no handles - again how it came to me )

As soon as I bought it I knew it wasn’t going to sell it

I just absolutely love it

I’ve given it a good waxing and it’s come up great as you will see

It’s really quite heavy and solid

It's a really good looking table that could fit well in a number of different environments wether modern or traditional, residential or commercial

I’m incredibly sad to let it go but it’s time for it to find a new loving home

This is truly a one off

Items to note

As with all items of age they can show signs of ware and use but can also have tremendous character that you won't always find in newer pieces

There are a few historic marks on the top ( see photos ) and a few darker marks etc ( see photo ) and a bit of colour patching in places

As mentioned it has had a bit of woodworm historically ( see photo )

As mentioned the table is very rustic but has polished up really well

The centre stretcher has been replaced ( see photos )

On one side the apron has been repaired and filled ( see photo )

Its a really solid great looking sturdy piece

Overall it's a lovely piece

The table is located near Beauly in the Highlands and can be viewed and collected from here or I have a good courier that can deliver anywhere within mainland UK for £45
