-The average cost of a full CLA including my SIX MONTH warranty is $150. If your camera has broken parts that need replacement (and I have them in stock) that will add to the cost. I usually charge a flat $25 for replacement parts. If I actually have to repair or replace a part that will add to the cost at a flat rate of $50/hr charged in 15 minute increments. 

If your camera is beyond repair, I will send it back to you at no additional charge. The warranty will not cover damage of any kind that was not present when I worked on the camera such as dinged lens rings, sand or dirt, jammed self timers, etc.

There is just so much that can be done for lenses that are etched, scratched or otherwise screwed up so if your camera falls into that category, please send me pix if you need help figuring out your lens condition. Don't forget the rear lens assembly as well. Open up the camera and shine a flashlight on it and see what it really looks like.

All I do is repair these specific cameras. Please check my feedback and that will give you an idea of how happy my customers are. I specialize in just the QL-17's and I have been able to refine my process as well as have a good inventory of parts if needed. 

My goal is to send your camera back to you in the absolute best condition possible...like I make every effort to go above and beyond expectations.  As a photographer and lover of black and white photography, I just want to put these wonderful cameras back into the hands of like minded photographers, well and make a few bucks of course;-)

Refurbishment Includes

- Shutter and aperture blade cleaning

- Lens cleaning

- New light seals

- Rangefinder cleaning and alignment

- Battery compartment rehab if needed which includes contact cleaning and soldering of wiring if needed.  Light meter conversion to 1.5v battery and adjustment. Includes new PX625 battery. I cannot repair or replace the plastic battery holder. They're as rare as hens teeth and at this time I have no replacements. 

- Cleaning and lubrication of internal mechanisms and control rings/aperture, shutter speed, etc.

Cleaning of leatherette and all camera surfaces.

You will receive a printed 6 month certificate of repair warranty which covers all items on the above refurbishment list. It will not cover damage to the camera that is not part of my work.

NOTE!! Pack your camera like it's your prized possession! You'd be surprised how poorly some folks wrap their cameras and send them to me! If you can shake your box and hear the camera moving around, you need to add more material around it. 

Once I look at your camera I'll get back to you for payment arrangements. I accept Venmo, Zelle, PayPal or CC over the phone (4% additional fee).
