I think this set was not factory painted but done well and looks very nice. Unit is a little dusty/dirty in the hard to clean areas with a few surface marks. I don't clean brass units too aggressively as I don't want to damage the finish. Nice looking large engine with minor wheel and pickup wear. I tested this offering, and it worked very nice in both directions with no working lights. No parts bag in the box. I don't think this box is original, but a good quality thick box to protect in shipping.
