This protects your laser upon a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) crash. I was tired of lazy and time consuming installs for a fix that Sony should have applied from the start. So I designed this flex PCB for an easy and quick install. This does not interfere with any CDVD, BOOTROM or alt BOOTROM solder points if soldering in a region free mod.
When the DSP crashes this shuts down the ps2 instead of burning up the laser.Find more info at ps2modchiptutorials....
SCPH-500XX PS2s came with 3 major mother board revisions, GH-023, GH-026 and GH-029 which is printed on the the motherboard. You will need to open the PS2 to determine which you need, otherwise order both PICFix variants.

If adding different models of my PICFix quick solder boards to your cart, checking out should combine shipping and not add multiple shipping fees. Usually this means ~$6 USD max shipping per combined order if domestic and ~$20 USD if international. I wish Ebay had a way to combine prior to checkout. These weigh so little that even a pack of 300 wont change shipping (though your countries tarrifs/VAT may change..)
