base has a very detailed relief featuring a floral vine and character faces articulating different expressions.

Two brass arms serving as penholder sit on top of the base. One of the arms swivels a little but is otherwise secure 

while the other one does not move. The brass is in good condition and does show some normal aging.

In the center of the base sits the glass inkwell which is square shaped. It is missing a top or closure for it. This glass 

inkwell is in good condition with beveled edges. The opening of the well is a little rough and shows some ink stains. 

Some very light surface scratches on the bottom.
