Powers up and displays characters on test.

On the right side of the base/case, there is a pocket that can hold extras.

You can turn the unit on by switching the knob on the base/case on the back left side.  

To get more utilization from the top, there is room for 3 AA batteries (not included).  The battery case shows very little signs of wear at all.

The wide blue strip in the middle can be placed in one of two slots.

The front of the case shows minor wear on the lettering but I truly think this item has not been utilized for its purpose.

The handle is very sturdy and not loose at all.
