PHILIPP HAMMIG WOODEN FLUTE WITH REFORM HEAD, CLOSED HOLES, SILVER PLATED KEYS AND MECHANISM – BEAUTIFUL CONDITION

Here is a rare opportunity to purchase a beautiful used/secondhand Philipp Hammig wooden flute. Known for crafting flutes and piccolos since 1780, Hammig has built a distinguished history in instrument making. Philipp Hammig first honed his skills in his father’s workshop and later specialized in flute making at the Berlin firm Ritterhausen. Subsequently, he returned to Markneukirchen.

In 1959, Gerhard Hammig, Philipp’s son, took over the family business. Despite this, the flutes and piccolos continued to bear the “Philipp Hammig” name, and in 1994, the family tradition of crafting instruments passed to Gerhard’s four children.
