Handcrafted in the Netherlands by master horn builder Martinus Gellan, this amazing work of art walks a tightrope between a trumpet and a flugelhorn. Incredibly rare, as there are not many of these out in the wild and they are no longer made. We're re-homing this amazing raw finish trumpet for a recording legend client who merely wants to release some phenomenal horns into the world so others can enjoy them. This is one we didn't think the artist would ever sell so it probably won't last long.

A top action rotary valve (TARV) Bb trumpet, this beauty's valve action is other-worldly—smooth, fast, incredibly responsive and surprisingly quiet. The opal button inlays are simply hypnotic and the tone is to die for. Although not patterned after the Schagerl Ganschhorn, this has the same ergonomics and feel. However, the rotors feel even smoother than a stock Gansch AND the rotor button position is ADJUSTABLE. The gorgeous custom opal finger buttons unscrew and can slide along the button mount. This pristine superhorn also comes with TWO lead pipes that can accommodate a range of mouthpieces to capture its full range.

The builder states that "the bell has multiple curves, based on a (1998) design from the French Horn builder Robert Engel. He modified a Cornet from the “Kessels Instrumentenfabriek” in the Netherlands to have the typical double bend exposing the rotary valves for maintenance." Also of note is the builder's attention to artistic detail in the naming of the horn "Twister Drie Bloemen"...with Twister being the horn model and "Drie Bloemen" meaning "three flowers" in Dutch—the three flowers engraved on the valve caps. You honestly just don't see handcrafting like this anymore. Like a rare pristine 1959 Martin Committee Gold Deluxe #3, we feel this thing is a one in a million horn.

This MG Twister is in flawless condition and it was double-reinforced/soldered to strengthen the curves of the horn. Best of all, the horn sounds creamy and unlike anything you've probably played. Definitely something you'll probably never see for sale as it's represented here. It's a magical horn and whoever ends up with this will undoubtedly be inspired and maybe even transformed as a player by expressing himself/herself through this horn. Not our words—this is how the seller feels about the horn.

No mouthpieces are included but we're confident any mouthpiece you decide to use will complement this incredible instrument. It comes with a perfectly fitting gig bag and two leadpipes, as mentioned.
