If you are buying from the USA, and having the item posted to the USA: due to new tariffs imposed by the current US administration there will be Import costs to pay which US Customs require to be paid before we can post the item to you. We can issue you a PayPal invoice for the amount, so please send us your PayPal email address when you pay for the item. Royal Mail will charge us for the Import duty and then pass it on to US Customs on your behalf.

The Import duties are as follows:

For items made in China: 35% + £1

For items made in the EU: 18% + £1

For items made in the UK: 13% + £1.

International buyers, please note: due to the fact that it has become so costly to post items to destinations outside the UK, we have decided to implement the eBay option not to accept returns from International buyers, unless of course we make a mistake. In the 15 years + that we have been trading on eBay we have only ever had two customers who have asked to return an item because they 'changed their mind, or bought the wrong item. We try and keep our prices and postage charges as low as we possibly can, so we cannot afford the losses that we would inevitably incur if we did accept remorse returns. We hope that you understand. Any import or other duties are the responsibility of the buyer. Sorry but we no longer post to Argentina – it is just so expensive.

For those who don't know, HO gauge locos and rolling stock run on the same track as OO gauge locos and rolling stock.

This UK Free Post 'Buy it Now' is for a (Hornby) Rivarossi EMU 'Pendolino' train pack, as pictured and described. This is class ETR 401 in blue and silver, FS Inclinato livery. Although this train is referred to as a 'Pendolino', it does not tilt on corners.
This is the DCC Ready version, which means that if you want to use it on a digital layout then you would only need to plug in a digital decoder, or a digital sound decoder - neither included. The original paperwork includes instructions for using a sound decoder if you decide to install one. Rivarossi do also make a sound version of this EMU, but this is the analogue/DCC Ready version

The front and rear cars come complete with directional lighting and all cars have interior lighting. One of the centre cars is the power car, and electricity flows to the other cars via the couplings. The couplings are quite delicate and need to be handled carefully. They do fit together tightly to ensure a constant flow of electricity to the lights. We have not connected the cars together because the coupling are a bit too small for me to see well enough to make sure that the electrical pins fit correctly in the other couplings socket, so we cannot confirm whether or not all the cars light up, so it is being offered without confirmation that the cars lights work. They do work on the powered car so we have no reason to think that they would not work on the other three cars, but we cannot confirm this. We have however test run the power car and can confirm that it runs beautifully.
This is a beautifully engineered, heavyweight train.
