J Lindeberg LTD6 Forged Golf Irons
Every once in a while, something extremely special arrives on the golf equipment market and Scottsdale Golf are excited to announce that this is most definitely one of those times. Premium Japanese Forging House, VEGA, have joined forces with iconic Swedish fashion brand, J Lindeberg, to create a limited-edition range of irons and wedges and the results are nothing short of spectacular. With only fifty sets of each iron set available (and fifty of each of the wedges) these will be the ultimate showpiece clubs to place into your J Lindeberg Tour Bag. As beautiful as they are though, they are certainly not all style over substance, as they have been hand forged to the most exacting specifications by VEGA. Emblazoned with the iconic J.Lindeberg bridge logo, these irons are more than just equipment — they are functional works of art.

Each club head has been constructed with Vega's eight stage forging process, which begins with S25C mild steel iron billets being cut into sections, and then heated to 1200c. This molten billet is then struck with the forging hammer several times with a pre-set set force to create the approximate shape of the head. The head is then struck again with the hammer which refines the shape at both the front and back, before being struck a final time to ensure the face is perfectly flat. The excess metal is then trimmed away, and the grooves and model numbers are then pressed into the head. Drilling out the hosel from one block head rather than welding a hosel on, gives the Vega heads a stronger and more uniform feel. Vega's craftsmen then hand grind and polish each individual head to the perfect shape and weight before a further polishing is applied in the polishing barrel. The clubheads are then passed through the chrome plating process before being masked and the faces are hand sand blasted. Finally, quality control checks are carried out with any imperfections that are found preventing the head from proceeding any further.
