Here is a neat old medal from England, to commemorate Queen Victoria. On one side the medal reads IN COMMEMORATION OF H.M. DIAMOND JUBILEE 1897 and pictures the Queen's profile. The other side reads BARRATT & CO'S BRITISH EMPIRE SWEET'S ARE PURE and pictures two halves of the world, to illustrate the British Empire NOTE: due to wear, and weak strike on the reverse, not all of the lettering is clear and some cannot be seen; I have typed out what I have found out the lettering is supposed to be.
Brass or bronze or similar metal, with an attachment loop at top as issued, slightly larger than an U.S. nickel in diameter. Circulated, vintage, with wear on reverse that obscures some of the lettering. This will make a nice addition to your collection. S/H $2.95; I do combine
