A set of focused exercises for practicing position changes and developing left-hand technique on the piano. To improve left-hand technique and proficiency in playing the piano.

This book contains 42 graduated exercises designed to develop specific skills with left hand position changes, working up to large jumps.

It starts with basic octave exercises, because the octave is a comfortable reach for most hand sizes and is a good starting interval from which other jumps can be derived. This is followed by a series of exercises to practice the other intervals.

It teaches the brush technique, which ultimately becomes a mental habit for reliably executing large changes in hand position.
