Suhr’s V63 pickups are wound to have the same tonal characteristics as those found by John Suhr in a particularly sweet 1963 S type guitar. The magnets are made by the same company that made the magnets for Fender® in the early 60’s and have the exact same formulation and use the same manufacturing process.

V63 pickups incorporate a modified staggered pole piece design to provide an even magnetic field needed to accommodate instruments with flatter neck radius and today’s string gauges.

SSV F-spaced Bridge - White

Our most popular humbuckers. The SS, or single screw, series of pickups feature the classic, authentic combination of a single row of adjustable screw pole pieces, and a row of slug pole pieces. These pickups offer the warmth of a vintage humbucker with increased clarity and definition and range in output from vintage to hot.

SSV – BRIDGE AND NECK The SSV has a broad sonic aperture with very little compression, making for a dynamic, vintage output humbucker. The SSV Neck is a versatile pickup that combines the warmth of a vintage humbucker with increased clarity and definition. The SSV Bridge is similar to the SSV neck in tone, but wound hotter for more output, increased sustain and a sweet midrange response.
