American Export Line:  A deluxe interiors and deck plan brochure from 1961 for the INDEPENDENCE and CONSTITUTION.

Covering twenty-four pages, the joy in this brochure are the many large color photos of mid-century modern interiors with an American slant.  The colors are deep and muted - moss green walls, tomato red upholstery, steel blue fixtures - and the design simple and uncluttered.  There are views of First Class - Riviera Restaurant, Boat 'n Bottle Bar, and Solarium; Cabin Class - Pioneer Restaurant, swimming pool, Barbary Tavern, and a plush cabin; and Tourist Class - Bella Vista Restaurant, Tirreno Lounge, and a four berth cabin.  A fun detail noted in back is that clothing worn on the models was from Wanamaker's Department Store in New York.

The detailed plans cover eight decks.  Furniture placement in both cabins and public rooms is shown.  The color-coding really makes the plans pop.

Very good condition with a slight bend down the center.
