The staple length is up to 7 inches and it is strong fiber tho the very inner coat will break off when pulled on, and may be slightly cotted. 

The inner coat is softer and the outer coat is coarser. Mostly cream with darker edges. 

It is quite clean tho there is vegetable matter. It is mostly small vegetable matter in the locks.  

Our fleeces are only lightly skirted, so it is possible to find taggy edges, vegetable matter, a few burrs in the outer coat, etc
