The staple length is up to 10 inches but the inner coat will break off when pulled on. 

Very pretty spotted pattern of lights and darks. Pretty soft and pretty clean tho the spine especially has vegetable matter. 

Our fleeces are only lightly skirted, so it is possible to find taggy edges, vegetable matter, a few burrs in the outer coat, etc
