What is SeeThru Reusable Moulding Compound?
The Reusable Moulding Compound is made from a silicone non-stick moulding material which you can keep using and reusing, Perfect if you need to make lots of moulds but only need a few copies cast from each mould. The compound is softened by heat and once shaped it cools and hardens in just minutes into a hard, slightly rubbery, plastic. It does not stick to Art Clay, PMC, polymer and other common sculpting putties. It is excellent for fingerprints as it picks up a lot of detail.To use simply follow these guidelines
1. Place the block in hot water for a few minutes (a mug with hot water from the kettle works great)
2. Once soft, shape as you like or impress original. If you change your mind and want a new mould, just re-heat in water and start again!
3. Once happy, leave your mould to cool off and harden, and then it will be ready to use! Do not put this on your hotplate to dry your metal clay - your mould will soften and lose its shape!
4. Only air-dry until the metal clay is dry enough to pop out of the mould.
