The Air Jordan 3 Retro “Seoul 2.0”, style code IB1482-100, revisits one of Jordan Brand’s most culturally significant regional designs while introducing new materials and details inspired by a younger generation of Korean identity.

The story begins in 1988—the year Seoul hosted the Summer Olympic Games and the original Air Jordan 3 helped redefine Michael Jordan’s signature line. Thirty years later, Jordan Brand released the highly limited 2018 Air Jordan 3 “Seoul,” recognized by Nike as the first Korea-specific Jordan sneaker. The 2025 Seoul 2.0 returns to that story with a renewed design celebrating Korean culture, aspiration and emotional connection.

A soft white tumbled-leather upper is paired with hairy suede elephant-print overlays at the toe and heel. Sport Royal, Challenge Red and black accents reference the colors of the Taegeukgi, South Korea’s national flag, while the pre-aged Pale Vanilla midsole gives the shoe an intentionally vintage appearance.

The mismatched tongue branding gives the pair its most recognizable detail: one tongue carries an embroidered South Korean flag, while the other features the classic Jumpman logo. Nike Air branding appears at the heel, connecting the Korea-inspired design to the original heritage of the Air Jordan 3. The quilted Sport Royal collar and plush Challenge Red interior add rich color and texture around the ankle.

Hidden beneath the tongues are the Korean words 꿈 — Gguem and 정 — Jeong. “Gguem” means dream, representing aspirations and the pursuit of something greater. “Jeong” describes a lasting Korean sense of emotional attachment, warmth and connection between people, places and even objects. These details position the Seoul 2.0 as more than a regional colorway—it is a wearable tribute to Korean identity, ambition and community.
