The house for a railway guard and his family has a Saxon model, but fits into many regions of Germany. The living quarters on the ground floor are small, and the chambers under the roof are very low. One gable wall of the house is clad in grey slate. The service and utility rooms are located in the adjoining building. The bell, which signals the train journeys, complements the ensemble in a prototypical way.
