An Anime Cel is an original frame from the cartoon. Made on a transparent sheet of cellulose acetate on which the animator's drawing (the douga, often preceded by the genga) is printed and then painted, in a process that is repeated for each individual frame that will make up the sequence of images of the anime. Each Anime Cel is therefore unique and hand-made and is the frame viewed at the time and the cartoon itself. Their artistic, sentimental and historical value, as well as their rarity, have in fact made them highly sought after by enthusiasts and collectors around the world. Their constantly increasing value, in addition to their unavailability, have made them one of the safest sources of investment. In fact, owning a memory of a sequence dear to us, created as a work of art and being able to display it, is priceless; thanks to the awareness of being the only ones to own that single piece, because there is no other like it in the entire world.
Con lo scorrere del tempo e una conservazione sovrapposta, un Anime Cel può essere attaccato al foglio sottostante. Questo è il perché della dicitura "attaccato". Anche i certificati (rarissimi e che comunque riportano solo il prezzo di partenza di particolari aste effettuate negli anni, mai quello di aggiudicazione), possono riportare alle volte come immagine uno sfondo che poi, alla prova del fermo immagine, non corrisponde. Questo perché moltissimi frame si muovono su un medesimo sfondo, per cui solo uno potrà avere il background corrispondente.
