Unless otherwise noted in the item specifics, all comics are first printings in Near Mint Minus (NM-) 9.2 condition or better. While most books we ship may grade higher, 9.2 is the only condition we officially guarantee.
According to industry grading standards, a comic in NM- 9.2 condition may exhibit 4–6 minor defects, which can include (but are not limited to)
Small spine ticks
Light stress marks
Minor edge or corner wear
Up to 1/8" bend (no color break)
Our grading guidelines align with industry standards. It’s also important to understand that newly published comics often have minor imperfections even when fresh out of the box. Publishers consider books in the Fine to Near Mint range undamaged and sellable. However, their standards for what qualifies as “damaged” are often lower than those of grade-sensitive collectors. Because of this, we cannot guarantee flawless (9.4 to 9.8) copies unless that specific grade is stated in the listing.
