Item condition is described as Used/Antique Very Good: This item has been owned before being donated to the charity. The buyer should expect the item to show signs of wear consistent with previous use. Despite being around 100 years old, this coat is in remarkable condition. The fur has minimal signs of wear, but there are a few small areas of damage:
  • Under the left lapel there is a small patch near the first fur hook about 1cm across which has lost it's fur and there appears to be a small repair in the hide.
  • Some stitching has let go in right armpit lining approx 3 inches.
  • The fur panel has separated at the join above right pocket about 3 inches in length. This is not obvious in appearance, and could be a simple repair as the hide is intact on both side of the seam.
  • A small area of flattening on the turn of the left cuff.
  • It is possible that this coat originally had 3 fur hooks, but there are currently only 2. The eye of the 2nd hook looks like it may not be in it's original position, and may benefit from being re-attached more securely
  • Some minor pulls and markings on the lining which do not affect the overall appearance.

Can you combine postage on my orders?

UK Orders

Depending on the size and weight of the items you want to order, and the packaging we currently have available, we can usually combine postage. Please contact our team before paying for your order and we can let you know if it's possible, and provide postage quotes.

International Orders

We send all international orders via eBay's Global Shipping Programme; this means eBay is solely responsible for setting international shipping charges, and we cannot alter or influence them. This part of your payment goes directly to eBay, and any issues with delivery will be managed by eBay in line with their terms and conditions of Global Shipping. Please ensure you obtain an estimate of delivery charges before you decide to purchase an item. We can only combine items in the same parcel if they were purchased in the same transaction, i.e. all items were in your cart/basket at the time you placed the order. We cannot combine items which were purchased on different orders in the same parcel, due to import/export restrictions.

I live in a non-mainland UK location. Can you post to me?

We use Royal Mail and ParcelForce for most orders. This means deliveries to Isle Of Man, Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands, and Northern Island deliveries are the same price as UK Mainland for most parcels. For the Channel Islands, items up to 60x46x46 cm sent by Royal Mail are also classed as UK Mainland. For larger items to Channel Islands, please contact us before placing your order to confirm postage charges.

When should I pay for my order?

We ask that payment is made within 4 days of the order being placed, after which your order may be cancelled if we have not received any contact from you.

How long will it take for my order to be dispatched?

We usually dispatch from our warehouse within 1 working day of receiving payment for an order. We use Royal Mail and Parcel Force postage options. You will have options for speed of delivery service at checkout. The tracking reference will be added to your order when we buy the label. Updates on tracking are applied by the courier, and the item is only marked as collected from us when it reaches your local distribution centre. If you have concerns about progress of your tracking, please contact us, as we may be able to see more details through our Royal Mail account. If an item is marked as freight or collection in person only, this means we are not able to buy a postage service. Please contact us for further details of how you may obtain this item by other means.

Can you hold onto my order?

No, unfortunately we cannot hold on to any orders. All of our orders must be dispatched once paid.

What are your customer service hours?

Our Dougie Mac eBay Team usually operates Monday to Saturday, 9am - 4pm. We aim to respond to all messages within 1-2 working days (but it's usually much sooner). Please Note: over public holiday periods in the UK, our response time could be delayed.

Can I collect my item?

Yes, you are welcome to collect your order. Please contact us to arrange a suitable time for collection and to get details of our address.

What is your Returns Policy?

We accept returns from UK buyers started within 30 days of receiving the item. Once the item has been returned to us, you will be refunded. If you wish to return the item because you have changed your mind, you are responsible for paying the return postage cost. We are very sorry, but we are unable to accept returns from international buyers.

What is Gift Aid?

Dougie Mac participates in the Gift Aid scheme, which allows us to claim 25p of tax for every £1 of an item's sale price if its donor was signed up to the scheme with our charity. This happens at no extra cost to the donor or the buyer. If an item is Gift Aided, it will be specified in the description of the listing.
