The Fly Army Patch is a Morale Patch which has a UH-1H Australian Army Huey Helicopter which was retired in 2006.
This patch was created as a morale patch for those personnel who served and supported the Australian Army UH-1H Huey Helicopters and Australian Army Aviation, as the Fly Army Huey Patch was designed to counter and poke fun at the Fly Army promotion which was trying to encourage ADF personnel and the Australian Public to support the new Tiger Armed Reconnaissance Helicopters (ARH) which the Army was still trying to put into service yet were running 5 years late on being delivered.
The Australian UH-1H Huey could have kept on flying for at least another 5 years or until the ARH Tigers were signed off and approved for service.
This Patch includes a Hook & Loop backing.
