ORIGINAL Antique Magazine Print Ad ~ Dec.1893

KENNEDY'S MEDICAL DISCOVERY

Donald Kennedy, of Roxbury, Mass.

INTERESTING original Victorian era 'quackery' advertisement for a "remedy that cures every kind of Humor, from the worst Scrofula down to a common Pimple."

Huge thanks to Joe Nickell's Center for Inquiry blog from May 17, 2016 for this additional tidbit of history: "Kennedy (1812–1889) was born in Scotland and immigrated to the United States in 1833. He eventually settled at Roxbury, Massachusetts. In addition to his original product he also introduced Kennedy’s Rheumatic Liniment (about 1862) and Kennedy’s Prairie Weed (1874). Among his other products were Kennedy’s Hair Grower and Kennedy’s Healing Ointment (Pharmaceutical Era 1903)."

ad is approx. 2 3/4" x 4 1/4"

Overall GOOD condition for age with creased bottom left corner.  Cut from the back cover of the magazine so it's heavier stock and natural aged patina.
