Vintage Original 1938 WWII Era Thrift Press Map Of France 28" X 22".

 This is a very scarce original map of France dated 1938 and published by Thrift Press. The map is 28" x 22" and features 90 "Departements".

"A "département" is the term for a major administrative subdivision in France and some other French-speaking countries, similar to an English county or American county. Established during the French Revolution, French departments are named after geographical features and are themselves subdivided into arrondissements, cantons, and communes. France is currently divided into 101 departments, including both metropolitan and overseas territories."

A very scarce collectors' item dating just prior to World War II.
