Henry Schuman, New York, 1951. Hardcover. Written by Menachem Begin. Translated from the original Hebrew text by Shmuel Katz. First English Edition (Henry Schuman=NAP). I have priced this book at half the price of the next least expensive 1951 First English edition, not entirely because I am such a generous person. Because of quite a little oddity, the Editor's Preface (two pages/four sides) was excised from the book. I've never seen that before. Those are the only pages missing and the binding is excellent. So you have the blank front end paper, then the title page (which is in excellent condition), the verso of which has the copyright page, then there's the Contents Page (the verso of which has the Author's Acknowledgment), and then the Introduction. The Introduction begins on page xi. The Contents page lists the Editor's Preface as beginning on page vii.
