This top with butterflies and flowers in a classical Greco-Roman style urn. A superbly beautiful top and a rare fine piece. This was made in the studios in London and was probably sold via the Davies Street London couture store. This, for a 25 year-old top, is in good condition and has been very loved. This piece deserves framing or being worn. The gold on the signature has survived very well; this usually does not survive very well as previously VW clothes recommended machine wash at 40 degrees, whereas with these I would only ever recommend gentle hand wash with water no higher than 30 degrees, with a gentle washing power, and never tumble dried.

This is a piece of Westwood history and, as such, starting at £84.99, a really great price for a rare piece of archive VW on her best label.
