An oval serving dish or underplate from Royal Crown Derby’s Nottingham Road works, measuring 7.5" × 6". The decoration features cobalt, iron red, and gilt in a floral and scrollwork arrangement—an early iteration of the King’s pattern lineage. The red crown-over-crossed-batons-and-D mark confirms production between 1806 and 1825, during the Duesbury & early Bloor period. A beautiful example of Derby’s early 19th-century output.
