FULL SET:   SARGENT 6344 PUSH BUTTON MORTISE LOCK 2 7/8" BS, w/KEY with KNOBS AND PLATES & STRIKEPLATE                                            (21002)

Vintage: Sargent #6344 keyed entry door lock complete set, circa 1900-1920, with mortise lock clearly marked Sargent & Co. Easy Spring, featured in the 1910 catalog (see pic).  Heavy steel faceplate, completely restored!  Beautiful functioning lock.

THE MORTISE:

FACEPLATE MEASUREMENTS: Heavy steel face plate, shows some scratches and light pitting from age, but in in excellent condition, measures 6 7/8"  by 1" by 1/8" thick.    

SCREWS: Screws are on 6 1/4" centers.

BOX MEASUREMENTS:  Box is 3 3/4" deep from the front edge of the faceplate to the back of the black box.  It is 4 3/4" top to bottom.   

BACKSET: (the distance from the front edge of the front plate to the center of the knob post hole) on this one is 2 7/8".  

DROP: (the distance from the center of the knob post hole down to the center of the round portion of key slot is also 2 7/8".  

KNOB POST: Designed for a 5/16" two piece split pivot knob post.

BACKPLATES:  Exterior and interior plates are brass and measure 3" x 10 1/4" and 2 1/4" x 7".  

KNOBS:  The knobs are brass and come with the split post knob post.  

STRIKEPLATE:  It is brass and included with the full set.
