The Vintage Budgie No. 57 REA Express Van is a diecast toy vehicle made in England in the late 1960s. This green delivery van features detailed decals and is a scale model of 1:87. Perfect for collectors of vintage diecast vehicles, this Budgie van represents a piece of British manufacturing history.

The diecast model features the original green paint with both REA Express logos intact on each side, including the iconic pigeon graphic with the text "Some carriers still cost less that R.E.A."

This van is in very good condition with light wear due to age but there are no major chips or damage (see photos). All wheels work and roll smoothly, and the detailing remains clear and crisp.

A great addition for collectors of Budgie Models, vintage British diecast, or REA Express memorabilia.

I want to give you a history of these cars and trucks so you will know how special they have been to me.  My uncle - my mother’s brother - was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when he was just a baby but lived to be 59 years old.  My grandmother had to take care of him his entire life.  The one thing he enjoyed was miniature cars and trucks, so he began collecting them.  People from all over would send him matchbox cars and trucks and he ended up with thousands - I don’t know if we ever were able to count them.  He would sit in his wheelchair on the front porch of their house in Ohio and place his cars in front of him on the porch banister and with limited motion, push them a few inches.  None of these cars were played with as a child would play with them.  They are old, but in good condition.  Non-smoking.
