The Riedell Gold Star was one of the most popular skating boots for both ice and roller for many, many years.  Discontinued a few years ago, they still hold their own over much more recent models.  They are all leather uppers, linings, and soles, unlike the man made composites of todays boots.  You won't find many of these around, much less brand new and in the original boxes.  If you want to give your young competitor the class of the past, this is probably your last chance.  The last retail for the Jr. Gold Star was over $400.....these few that I have discovered are 70 % off!
