🔧 Firing Instructions (All Clays)

Phase 1 (Open Air): Place on steel mesh, ramp full to 800°F / 426°C, hold 10 minutes.

Phase 2 (Carbon in Stainless Steel Container): Ramp full to clay-specific target (see table above), hold 1 hour. Allow to cool in carbon before handling.

💡 Top Tips for Use

  • Shape and texture while clay is pliable
  • Use a damp brush for strong joints
  • Position work toward the back of the kiln for even heating
  • Store clay airtight and revive with Project X X2O Rehydration Fluid (855 322) if needed
  • Knead before use – no water needed on fresh clay

Note: Clay may appear dry upon opening due to vacuum packing – this is normal and ensures freshness. Knead well to activate the binder and restore smooth texture.
