'Animal' hitmaker Miike Snow - real name Andrew Wyatt - has been surrounded by some incredible musicians in his time. Signed at age 18 to Capitol Records as a solo artist, mental health struggles caused him to delay putting out his debut album and so his band went and became Jeff Buckley's band whilst he went on to recover. Shortly after Jeff Buckley passed away, Wyatt had returned to New York and formed The A.M. with two former Buckley band members: Michael Tigh and Parker Kindred. The musicians that Wyatt works with in Miike Snow are similarly incredible (Swedish duo Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg are co-writers on Britney Spears' 'Toxic') and they serve up some of the most vital pop music of the 21st century as a trio under the moniker Miike Snow. Their biggest hit - the platinum certified 'Animal' is on here alongside the likes of 'Silvia' and the soulful, cosmic 'Black and Blue'. A feel good blast of cerebral and anarchic pop.
