About Tanaka Hat
Founded in 1880 - A history spanning more than 100 years
Straw hats are a traditional craft from Kasukabe City, Saitama Prefecture.
Currently, there are few factories in Japan that can mass-produce them, and Tanaka Hat Shop is one of them, boasting a history and tradition of over 100 years.
The hats are handmade one by one by artisans using the same techniques as they have been for a long time.
They are made by skilled craftsmen through a number of processes, including sewing, molding, and decoration.
In addition, by purchasing wooden and metal molds that are suitable for Japanese people, they are extremely comfortable to wear.
With traditional manufacturing methods and future-oriented designs, the sixth generation is currently carrying on the "history and tradition".
