Creative Dual-Engine Reverb Platform!

The Crazy Tube Circuits Mirage is a powerful dual reverb workstation designed for guitarists, synth players, and sound designers seeking immersive, studio-grade reverbs in a compact and intuitive format.

At its core are two fully independent reverb engines — each with its own dedicated controls and access to 16 meticulously crafted algorithms. The Outer Bank focuses on natural reverbs like Plate, Spring, Cathedral, Room, and even the rare Inchindown oil tank impulse. The Inner Bank dives into ambient territory with shimmer variations, modulation-infused reverbs, infinite sustain, and experimental textures.

Mirage adapts effortlessly to any rig. The two engines can be run in series for layered depth, split left and right for stereo imaging, or used independently in a dual mono setup. You can even insert pedals between the engines using the built-in Send/Return loop — ideal for adding modulation, delay, filters, or fuzz into your reverb path without disrupting your chain.

Each engine offers hands-on control via Mix, Volume, Swell, and Excite knobs. Swell typically adjusts decay or size, while Excite is algorithm-dependent — controlling parameters like shimmer balance, modulation depth, octave level, or tone shaping. There’s no menu diving: a Shift switch toggles between banks, and each algorithm is selected via the dedicated Voice selector.

Mirage is also built for performance. The left and right footswitches can be set to engage engines independently or to trigger real-time ramping effects. Use them to bloom swells, punch gated reverbs, freeze a tail, or shift a shimmer trail mid-play. An external expression input adds even more control, allowing you to sweep Excite or Swell values on the fly.

Despite its flexibility, Mirage remains fast and intuitive. It’s fully analog-dry, has no menus or screens, and includes internal switches to adjust bypass type, kill dry, routing mode, and startup behavior. Whether you’re stacking reverbs on a pedalboard, widening synth textures in stereo, or adding spatial effects from a DAW send, Mirage provides a seamless bridge between live and studio setups.
