The factory motor mounts on the Miata are partly made out of rubber that are prone to soften and wear out with age, causing a large amount of driveline flex even when under a little bit of load. Just check out the amount of engine flex when you rev your engine. These solid mounts will greatly reduce that driveline flex to a minimum and drastically reduce the chance of wheelhop and parts breakage, while at the same time, reduce driveline loss by transferring all the power produced by the engine to the rear wheels instead of losing some of that power to driveline flex.
