They fit into your Deere's tail light sockets. No modification necessary to your Deere to switch to these LEDS. They are 1650 lumens each, which is SUPER bright. They last longer, do not get hot, use less watts (but are 10x brighter per watt), and will not melt or burn your lens or wires if kept on. They do not get hot like conventional bulbs. The last picture is the JD standard tail light bulb these LEDs replace.

These LED bulbs replace Deere's old dual function light bulb part number, M148478, RE49778, UC12940.
