The 1972 Indianapolis 500 program is in very good condition with light wear. All of the 128 pages are secure, and there are no tears or cutouts. Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the condition and content of the program.
The 1972 Indy 500 was held on May 27th at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Mark Donohue won the race, followed by Al Unser and Joe Leonard. This was the first year bolt-on wings were allowed, which increased speeds dramatically. Bobby Unser qualified 17mph faster than the previous years pole winner!
