This is a nice example of a Grammoceras sp. fossil ammonite from Ravenscar, Near Whitby, North Yorkshire, England and has been recently prepared to show good detail and preservation. Collected in 1999.

Ammonite measures approx 2.6cm in diameter, with the entire specimen approx 3.8cm x 3.3cm x 1.6cm.
