This is a brand new Speedo competition brief that has been modified into a thong back style similar to the ones produced by Speedo in the 90s and early 2000s.

This Speedo started out as a polyester flat front pouch competion brief. These competition briefs are known to be quite snug with a flat front pouch design. The polyester fabric, although snug, stands up to chlorine better than Lycra spandex.

The interior is lined in front and back.

The front has a drawstring inside the waistband and the waistband was not modified.

The mannequin in the photos is a 32” waist.

This is a size 30” waist bikini.

This is a one of a kind custom modified swimsuit and you definitely won’t find another one like it.

The stitching is a 2 thread coverstitch similar to the factory stitching.

The elastic is the same rubber elastic that is used by the manufacturer and lasts longer than woven knit style elastic.

A lot of time and effort goes into making these as the factory stitching has to be carefully removed as not to damage the material and then the suit has to be recut which is not as easy when the waistband is already sewn in place with elastic. This is a very tedious process.

I have made several of these for myself over the years and they hold up just as good as from the manufacturer.
