Superman #142 was published by DC Comics in January 1961. This issue features three stories:

• "The Flame Dragon from Krypton!" – Superman encounters a powerful Kryptonian dragon that threatens Earth.
• "Lois Lane's Secret Helper!" – Krypto, Superman’s loyal dog, tries to help Lois Lane win Superman’s heart.
• "Superman Meets Al Capone!" – Superman travels back in time and faces the infamous gangster Al Capone.

The cover art was created by Curt Swan, with writing by Otto Binder. The issue originally sold for $0.10.
