Autographed youthful postcard photograph holding his fiddle.  This image is in very fine detail, unlike many you will find here and in fine condition.

Kubelik (1880-1940) was one of the true legends of the fiddle prior to Heifetz reaching the West.  He was a pupil of Weber, Ondricek and Sevcik in Prague.  Made his touring debut in 1898 and his British debut with Hans Richter in 1900.  He reached the U.S. the following year.  By 1902 he had made so much money that he was able to bring the Czech Philharmonic to London to support his concerts!  He recorded prolifically and a live concert at Carnegie Hall in 1935 is available.  He was commanding the highest fees in music through the 1920’s.
