Up for grabs is:

For once not the bad kind of "READ" in an auction...keep going!

Signed autographed ONLB of Mickey Owen, with a very unique inscription, unfortunately Mickey is most known in his professional career of allowing a passed ball in the 1941 World Series, in game 4, and because of that passed ball, the Yankees went on to win the game and eventually the series, the story of how the inscription came about is more unique, this was obtained by me in 1989/1990 at a card show in Nixa, MO(Mickey's hometown), Bob Feller was also there and it was a relatively slow show, so much so, this then 18 year old was listening to Feller tell stories, and he asked me if I knew what Mickey was famous for, to which I replied 'no', Feller went on to tell the story of Owen's passed ball gaffe, inscriptions weren't too much of a thing back then(other than the statistical variety), but I asked Mickey if he'd ever signed anything with that type of inscription and he said he didn't think so, not his proudest moment, I humbly asked him if he would(looking back, feel terrible about it, though he was a great sport), have owned it since the point in time he signed it, as you can see, still in EXCELLENT shape, haven't seen any others with this inscription, have to imagine they're out there, but looking to offer the opportunity to pass along this historical piece, thanks for reading, JSA authenticated, serial number AF02751!
