This part is correct for the MX5 MK1 / Eunos 1.6 car 1989 - 1998 with the manual gearbox. The TPS has been correctly setup and the Idle Control Valve properly tested off the body on a car. This is the later style unit with no rubber bung covering the idle adjuster and  single cable guide on the cable mount wheel.  

This is a unique opportunity to buy a throttle body complete, that is obviously a recent replacement rather than a 26 - 36 year old part. From the condition I would guess it has been fitted for less than five years; it is in exceptional order with no damage and very little corrosion. Goodness knows what it cost as the Idle Control Valve alone is £524.10 + post from MX5Parts.

I am finding it hard to source units with properly working Idle control valves. They are often irreparable or if I am lucky just seized or blocked. This one was pretty much spotless inside with no corrosion to speak of. As we move forward in time, the only option will be to buy a new unit as serviceable used units are reaching the age where they can fail at any time.   

Marked B61P 13 640, 195900-2540; make sure this matches yours.

Not that it was needed but a brand new ICV gasket has been fitted, see last photo for Mazda packaging.

I will not send this out using a lesser service than Special Delivery but you are charged £10.95 for a service that will cost me £14.05. This part has now been listed for some time and remains unsold. I will leave it for the moment but will very likely future proof my own 1997 MK1 1.6, owned since 2002, with this part, if this genuinely unique opportunity is not capitalised on quite soon.
