World's best oven mitt!
Don't let these handy little Oven Mitts fool you - they are big when it comes to cooking in the kitchen! They really take a big bite out of the hot pots! Makes a great gift!


Materials needed to make two oven mitts:

If making the oven mitt from two fabrics:

  • 1/3 yd for fronts and outside pieces (enough for stripes)
  • 1/3 yd for inside piece and bias tape binding (enough for stripes)
  • Or you can make two oven mitts out of two fat quarters

If making the oven mitt from three fabrics:

  • 1/3 yd for inside and outside piece (enough for stripes)
  • 1/4 yd for fronts (enough for stripes)
  • 1/3 yd for bias tape binding
  • Or you can make three oven mitts out of three fat quarters

All oven mitts need:

  • 1/4 yd thermal fleece (Insulbrite (22" wide) or Warm 'n Natural)
  • 1/4 yd peltex (20" wide) or timtex (or other stiff and thick interfacing
  • coordinating threads
  • desired embellishments (two/four large buttons or one package rick rack)
  • optional - if using ready-made bias tape trim, one package

INCLUDES COMPLETE INSTRUCTIONS, DIAGRAMS, AND PAPER TEMPLATES.
