『Full set of 15 Japanese Kimono HINA Doll & Accessories for 7 DAN Step Display』HINA dolls are displayed before the Japanese traditional festival HINA-MATSURI, and they are put away on the day when the festival ends. MATSURI means festival. HINAMATSURI is the Doll's Festival or Girls' Festival observed on March 3rd. It is on April 3rd in some Prefectures, same as my pref. Graceful dolls of the Emperor and Empress, and noble court people in Heian era costumes, are displayed to celebrate the girls' healthy growth and wish them to be as graceful as Heian nobles.
Contents of Dolls:
Ⅰ. The Emperor and Empress are called ODAIRI-SAMA and OHINA-SAMA.Ⅱ. Three court ladies are called SANNIN-KANJYO altogether. SANNIN means three people. Ⅲ. Five musicians are called GONIN-BAYASHI altogether. GONIN means five people. Ⅳ. Two military officers are called ZUISHIN or UDAIJIN and SADAIJIN. The elderly man is SADAIJIN. U and SA mean right and left. DAIJIN means minister. Ⅴ. Three attendants are called SANNIN-SHICHO altogether.

1. Kin-byobu: a pair of gold screens 2. Bonbori: a pair of lamps 3. San-pou kazari: the flowers in vases on the table 4. Zen Zoroe: The dishes on the table can be carried. 5. Takatsuki: Two colors of rice cakes on the tables. 6. Hishi-dai: three-color diamond rice cake on the table 7. Tansu: chest of drawers. 8. Nagamochi: chests. 9. Hibachi: Brazers. 10. Kyoudai: mirror stands on the chest of drawers. 11. Haribako: sewing kit box. 12. Chadougu: utensils for the tea ceremony. 13. Ju-bako: tiered food box. 14. Okago: a palanquin. 15.
