Each console is thoroughly cleaned inside and out, fitted with a new optical laser, electronically calibrated, serviced as needed, and tested across multiple PlayStation and PlayStation 2 disc formats.

Our Refurbishment Process

We do much more than wipe down a used console and verify that it turns on. Each PS2 Slim receives individual attention before sale.

New Optical Laser

A new optical laser is installed to replace one of the most important age-related components inside the PS2 Slim's disc drive.

Service-Level Laser Calibration

We do not simply install the replacement laser and ship the console. The optical system is electronically calibrated using PS2 service-level PMAP procedures.

New CMOS Battery

The aging internal clock battery is replaced with a custom-made replacement matching the specifications of the original battery.

Disc Drive Serviced

The disc-drive mechanism is inspected during refurbishment. Components such as the laser ribbon cable are replaced when needed.

Complete Internal Cleaning

The console is opened and thoroughly cleaned internally to remove accumulated dust and debris instead of receiving only a cosmetic exterior cleaning.

External Cleaning & Inspection

The exterior, buttons, ports and connectors are cleaned and inspected before the console receives its final functionality testing.

Condition

Good - Refurbished: These are original used Sony PlayStation 2 Slim housings and will show signs of previous use. The console may have scuffs, scratches or dings.

Cosmetic wear does not affect functionality. The original model / serial-number label may also show wear or may be missing entirely.

1-Year eBay Refurbished Warranty

This console is sold through the eBay Refurbished program and includes a one-year warranty serviced by Allstate Protection Plans. Coverage is included with eligible purchases at no additional charge.
