For sale is an original August 14, 1945, “Extra” edition of The Evansville (Indiana) Courier newspaper. The front-page headline, in 2-inch type, says JAP WAR ENDS. This four-page edition was printed on V-J Day, or Victory Over Japan Day, which marked the end of World War II. This item measures 16 by 24 inches and is in good condition, with three vertical folds, one horizontal fold and a 4-inch tear along the right edge. This newspaper is extremely rare and would frame up nicely. See my listings for other items. I gladly combine shipping fees for multiple purchases when they can be packaged together, and I do ship internationally. Please contact me with any questions, and thanks for looking!
