1965.. ‘Mark 4’ Incorporates all the features of the other Mark series guitars but with exclusive Bass pick-ups. Infinitely easier to play than the conventional bass, very little string action being required to obtain full rich bass volume. Pick-ups are specially positioned for excellent string response and tone and volume controls are conveniently located. Slender neck, reinforced truss rod, low set action, makes difficult passages easy and the player’s technique will be immensely improved when using this instrument.’

Made at the Dartford factory this is the matching bass to Brian Jones famous Tear-drop guitar.
This one is in excellent condition for its age except for a piece of missing paint near the knobs. (see pics) I’m told the case had a faulty latch and the bass fell out while it was being moved. The case has since had a NOS latch attached.. it’s a close but not an exact match for the original and a bit stiff but it works. Some checking to the body finish as pictured.
The neck is wide and chunky. Plays and sounds great. All original including the case.
